Diane Colbeck – President

Diane Colbeck has over twelve years of experience in the practical application of IT Service Management (ITSM) ’best practice’.  She has a strong background in IT strategic planning, management of organizational change and financial management, as well as in all five stages of the Service Lifecycle; Strategy, Design, Transition, Operation and Continual Improvement.  Diane has a keen understanding of human interaction and the change process; this enables her to navigate and understand complex change environments.  She is a skilful communicator and clients, peers, and professional colleagues often seek Ms. Colbeck out as a change coach and mentor.  She quickly understands organizational vision and challenges and works with people to translate these into achievable strategies, plans, goals and objectives.

Since 1998, Diane has specialized in helping both government and private sector organizations attain organizational improvement through the implementation of IT management processes, functions and techniques based upon those described in the IT Infrastructure Library® (ITIL®).  Assignments undertaken have included strategic and operational consultancies, current state assessments and gap analyses, education and training strategies and deliveries, project management and the design, delivery and support of the full range of IT management processes.

Diane is also an accredited IT Service Management instructor and an ISO 20000 accredited Consultant/Manager.  She holds the Service Manager’s Certificate in IT Service Management with a mark of Distinction as well as all current ITIL® Lifecycle, Capability and Management certificates, including that of ‘ITIL® Expert’.  In addition Diane holds the Master Practitioner certificate in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) through the American Board of NLP (ABNLP) and is currently completing the final coaching hour requirements for the International Coach Federation Professional Coach Certification (PCC) level.

Diane is a director of the ITSM innovation company DIYmonde Solutions Inc., a founding member of itSMF Canada, an elected Fellow of the Institute of Service Management (FISM). She was a member of the International Advisory Group (IAG) for the ITIL® upgrade and of the EXIN Professional Group for the development of the ISO 20000 certification for individuals.  She is also a co-author of the highly acclaimed “Complete Guide to IT Service Management”.
